About Tapentadol
Tapentadol is a strong opioid painkiller. It works in two ways at once — as an opioid at the mu receptor, like tramadol or morphine, and by blocking the reuptake of noradrenaline, which is why it is used for nerve pain as well as ordinary pain. Where it is licensed, it is prescribed for moderate to severe pain that milder analgesics have not controlled.
