1,591 herbal products, supplements and traditional remedies carry a NAFDAC listing, the numbers that end in L. This is every one in our copy of NAFDAC's listed products database, taken 2026-08-17: 1,000 listings current and 584 expired as of 2026-09-16, held by 448 companies across 28 states.

A listing is not a registration

Listing is NAFDAC's lighter recognition for herbal and traditional products: a safety evaluation and a two-year permission to sell. It is not the safety-and-efficacy registration medicines go through, it is kept in a separate database from the medicines Greenbook, and it says nothing about whether the product treats anything.
